Red Sea Bay Surfing and Exploring
Red Sea Bay is vast and expansive, with the sea surface suitable for windsurfing, water skiing, surfing, motor boating, and jet skiing throughout the year. In the 32nd year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1693 AD), Monk Yinzhen chose a site halfway up the mountainside of Jixin Stone, embraced by the twin peaks of Lotus Mountain and Silver Bottle Mountain, to build the 'Shanjiao Temple'. After the temple was built, the monks often heard the sound of roosters crowing halfway up the hill, so it was also named 'Jiming Temple' (Rooster Crowing Temple). Jiming Temple is a very efficacious temple in the Chaoshan area, so to show sincerity, it is best to climb up by yourself.
“Xianshui Songs” Floating in Lingnan Water Town
In Zhongshan, there is a place named by the late Mr. Guan Shanyue: 'Lingnan Water Town'! It features small bridges, flowing water, and houses by the water, with the sounds of chickens, dogs, and frogs all around. However, perhaps influenced by the 'southern barbarian' atmosphere, the local customs and culture are quite different from those in Suzhou and Hangzhou. From Xinhua River to the Wishing Tree, from the Red Bridge and Clear Water to the Xinping Second Village, boats travel back and forth on the river, fish leap in the shallow water, chickens crow, dogs bark, and there are houses by the shore and carriages on the bridges, as well as villagers enjoying tea in the riverside teahouses.
