Queens Botanical Garden
Bring the whole family out to play, there's something fun for everyone. There will be music, games, farm tours, nature walks, snack stalls, a petting zoo that will make kids scream with excitement, and beer stalls for adults. The highlight is picking large pumpkins, making for a happy Halloween.
Fishkill Farm Road
A family-run farm for over a century, not only offering postcard-like scenery but also committed to cultivating their apples and pumpkins organically. Here, you can safely pick home-grown produce, and during the farm's harvest weekends, you can enjoy barbecues, live music, fresh apple cider, and donuts.
Outhouse Orchards
The big pumpkins are ripe and waiting for big and small hands to harvest! The farm originally focused on apple picking, but with Halloween approaching, there are a variety of pumpkins waiting for everyone, as well as hayrides and a corn maze. If you don't want to drive, you can take the Metro-North to Croton Falls Station and then take an Uber or taxi to get there.
Stuarts Farm
Pick your favorite pumpkin, and you can carve or paint it on-site! Besides pumpkins, you can also pick apples here. On weekends from 11am to 5pm, there are hayrides available. Don't worry if your little ones get tired; this pumpkin patch welcomes parents with strollers!
Wilkens Fruit & Fir Farm
In addition to picking your own pumpkins, there are free hayrides and a small winery on weekends. Fun for both adults and children!
Elwood Pumpkin Farm
The pumpkins here are all grown on the farm! Children can pick fresh pumpkins directly from the stem. Besides picking pumpkins, they can also ride hayrides and play in the corn maze. No entrance fee is required, just pay for the pumpkins based on their size!
F&W Schmitt’s Family Farm
This super famous family farm on Long Island is known for its huge 7-acre corn maze. In addition, there is a small animal area with sheep, bunnies, chicks, etc., hayrides, and a variety of delicious food available for purchase on site.
Lewin Farm
Unfortunately, due to heavy rain and flooding this year, the pumpkin picking activity at Lewin Farm has ended. However, the 5-acre corn maze is still open! Please make sure to call ahead to confirm the opening hours for the day.
Secor Farms
Visit this beautiful farm where a hayride will first take you past a small lake and willow trees, and also through the pumpkin patch. After the hayride tour, you can visit the adorable animal area to see cute farm animals and pick a pumpkin to start your creative decoration. Relax in the beautiful countryside scenery. Every weekend in October, the farm also sells burgers, hot dogs, drinks, and you can even have a picnic.
Alstede Farms
At this farm, you can not only pick apples and pumpkins, but also walk through its 10-acre corn maze and see the farm animals. There are also plenty of children's activities, making it a well-planned destination! Additionally, on specific weekends in October, there are nighttime hayrides where you can enjoy the beautiful sunset and warm campfires, creating a great atmosphere!
Demarest Farms
A well-known farm in New Jersey, rich in pumpkin-related activities every October. Besides picking your own pumpkins, there is also a special Pumpkin Movie Night (10/5)! This year, for the first time, they are launching the Haunted Orchards at Demarest Farms night adventure, which takes place every Thursday to Sunday and on specific dates in October. It leads both children and adults to explore the secrets of the orchid garden (additional tickets required)!
Riamede Farm
This tranquil farm does not have a petting zoo or commercial activities like a corn maze. What it offers is the freshest fruits and pumpkins, which you have to cut from the vine yourself. So don't forget to bring your own tools for a complete DIY experience! The farm offers hayrides on weekends.
Conklin Farm U-Pick
Although it is relatively small, all the harvest season activities related to pumpkins are here! In addition to picking pumpkins in a field full of sunflowers, you can also enjoy hayrides, a corn maze, and handmade donuts. On Fridays, there are also mini horse rides.
