Gansu Baiyin - Colorful Baiyin, Play in All Seasons

The name of Baiyin originates from the famous official silver mining organization called "Baiyin Factory" during the Ming Hongwu period. Since the opening of the Silk Road, Baiyin has become a must-visit place for those traveling westward. Historical remains include Yongtai Guicheng, Wufosi Grottoes, and Faquansi Grottoes, which are witnesses to the cultural exchange and national integration on the Silk Road. It is also the red land where China's revolution achieved a significant transformation. In October 1936, the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army's 124th Division met at Huining, marking the end of the great victory of the Red Army's Long March.

Jingtai Yellow River Stone Forest Scenic Tourist Area

Located in the southeastern part of Jingtai County, Baiyin City, the Yellow River Stone Forest Scenic Area is adjacent to Longwan Village in Zhongquan Township. It covers an area of about 10 square kilometers and boasts grand scale. The scenic area is characterized by clear mountains and waters, a tranquil environment, fresh air, and beautiful scenery. It is the most distinctive place among the ancient stone forest groups. The stone forest landscape within the scenic area is intertwined with the meandering Yellow River, exuding the charm of a natural grand garden. Situated in the transition zone between the Loess Plateau and the Tengger Desert, the Yellow River Stone Forest Tourist Area generally features a terrain that is high in the southwest and low in the central part. The beautiful natural landscapes here are all-encompassing: the Yellow River, stone forests, deserts, gobi, oases, and farms all blend together. Additionally, there are cultural landscapes such as Panlong Cave and Qingliang Temple.

Yongtai Turtle City

Located 27 kilometers southwest of Jingtai, Gansu, Yongtai Turtle City is named after its ancient fortress that resembles a golden turtle. This ancient city was built in the 36th year of the Ming Wanli period. The city perimeter is over 1700 meters, with walls 12 meters high, rammed layers 12-18 centimeters thick, and a city base 5 meters thick. The city has an elliptical layout with crescent-shaped towers on all four sides. The city gate opens to the south, with a passage outside the gate, and the tower is slightly westward, resembling a turtle's head. Surrounding the city is a moat about 6 meters wide and 1 to 2.5 meters deep, serving as a complete military barrier and defense structure, holding significant strategic importance during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The city once housed military guards, and the ancestral home of the famous Qing general Yue Zhongqi is also located here. Currently, there is the 'Yongtai Primary School,' built in the third year of the Republic of China, which is a Gothic-style building combining Chinese and Western elements and is also a county-level cultural relic protection unit.

Baiyin Yellow River Wetland Park

Address: 492 Xiangdao, Baiyin District, Baiyin City. Currently, Baiyin Yellow River Wetland Park is a AAA-level tourist attraction, located within the Shuichuan Town Yellow River Wetland Protection Area. It extends east to the water intake of the Huapichuan Village Pump Station, south to Binhe Road, west to the power plant highway, and north to the Jinfeng-Jiangjiawan rural road, covering an area of approximately 3000 acres. This area is a natural wetland formed by years of Yellow River erosion, stretching 1440 meters from east to west and 920 meters from north to south, with an average water depth of 2 meters, 1.8 meters higher than the Yellow River's surface. The area is crisscrossed with ditches and covered with reeds, making it an ideal habitat for plateau fish and waterfowl. Every year, it attracts a large number of precious birds, forming a harmonious natural ecosystem.

Hasi Mountain Nature Reserve

Located in the northern part of Jingyuan County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, the Hasi Mountain Forest Scenic Area is 140 kilometers from Baiyin City, 50 kilometers from Pingchuan, and 80 kilometers from Jingyuan County. It is a forest park that serves as both a nature reserve and a tourist attraction. The scenic area includes three major nature reserves: Hasi Temple, Taihe Mountain, and Xueshan Temple. The area is characterized by lush pine and cypress trees, flowing springs, and a variety of rare birds and animals, making it a typical representation of the green oasis desert landscape in the northwest region. To the east of Dagou Huai Mountain is Xueshan (Snow Mountain), which is snow-capped year-round and is known as the 'Silver Snow Ridge.' The area also features cultural sites such as Xueshan Temple, the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty, beacon tower ruins, and Han and Tang dynasty tombs. It is a tourist destination that combines ancient historical exploration and leisure entertainment.

Tiaoshan Farm Tourist Area

Tiaoshan Farm is located in the western part of Jingyuan County, Baiyin City, and is a 3A-level scenic spot. The farm is surrounded by endless orchards, with apple trees, pear trees, and apricot trees displaying a colorful array of hues. As the seasons change, the colors transform, resembling a symphony of vibrant notes, providing a visual feast for visitors.
