Classic Bookstore
Jingdian Bookstore is the most authentic local independent bookstore in Chongqing. It was established in June 1998 on Minquan Road, Jiefangbei, and later moved to No. 1891 East Nanbin Road. After nearly 20 years of development, Jingdian Bookstore has become a cultural landmark in Chongqing. It has always led the reading culture in Chongqing and is a gathering place for writing and reading.
The store covers about 2400 square meters and operates a mixed business of bookstore, aesthetics, coffee, exhibition space, and fashion. In terms of design, Fangsuo Chongqing Store fully highlights the characteristics of Chongqing's landforms and humanities. The relationships between mountains, water, and objects in Chongqing are very delicate. Fangsuo hopes to make the bookstore a place of cultural accumulation, closer to life and culture, through the display of books and the creation of environmental atmosphere.
It is transformed from a textile warehouse in Chongqing. The design keeps the basic appearance of the warehouse, and the shop is filled with many nostalgic old objects. The walls are uniformly white, the roof is made of horizontal beams to create a dome-like feel, and large floor-to-ceiling windows are complemented by warm lighting, giving people a sense of tranquility.
South Mountain Bookstore is a bookstore where you can stay overnight. It is a multi-functional cultural space that combines bookstore, guesthouse, exhibitions, conferences, and dining. The bookstore adopts a Japanese modernist design style, with simple black and white colors as the main theme, combined with the green of the South Mountain, giving people a sense of tranquility and purity.
