Jingdian Bookstore
Jingdian Bookstore is Chongqing's most authentic local independent bookstore. It was established in June 1998 on Minquan Road, Jiefangbei, and later moved to No. 1891, Dongyuan, Nanbin Road. After nearly 20 years of development, Jingdian Bookstore has become a cultural landmark of Chongqing. It has always led the reading life in Chongqing, becoming a gathering place for writing and reading.
The entire store covers about 2400㎡, integrating bookstore, aesthetic life, coffee, exhibition space, and fashion apparel into a mixed business model. The design of Fangsuo Chongqing Store fully highlights the geographical features and cultural characteristics of Chongqing. The relationship between Chongqing's mountains, water, and objects is very delicate. Fangsuo hopes to make the bookstore a place of cultural accumulation, closer to life and culture, through the arrangement of books and the creation of an environmental atmosphere.
It was transformed from the Chongqing Textile Warehouse. The design basically retains the original appearance of the warehouse, and the store is furnished with many nostalgic old items. The walls are uniformly white, the roof uses horizontal wood to create a dome-like effect, and large floor-to-ceiling windows are complemented by warm lighting, giving a sense of tranquility.
Nan Zhi Shan Bookstore is a bookstore where you can stay overnight. It is a composite cultural living space that integrates a bookstore, guesthouse, exhibition, conference, and dining. The bookstore adopts a Japanese modernist design style, using simple black and white as the main colors, combined with the green of Nanshan, giving a pure feeling of tranquility and distance.
