Leveraging Gansu's rich cultural heritage and the numerous precious cultural relics left on the Longyuan land. The permanent exhibitions include 'Civilization of the Silk Road in Gansu', 'Gansu Painted Pottery', 'Gansu Paleontological Fossils', 'Solemn and Wonderful—Gansu Buddhist Art Exhibition', and 'Red Gansu—Towards 1949', reflecting Gansu's profound historical and geographical culture.
Zhongshan Bridge, formerly known as Zhenyuan Bridge, is commonly referred to as the 'Yellow River Iron Bridge' and also known as the 'First Bridge over the Yellow River'. This museum was built in 1907 (the 33rd year of the Guangxu reign in the Qing Dynasty). German merchants undertook the construction of this project. In 1942, in commemoration of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, it was renamed Zhongshan Bridge, and the name has been used ever since. Zhongshan Bridge has become the most important landmark in Lanzhou, attracting mostly out-of-town tourists. Currently, motor vehicles are prohibited from crossing the bridge, allowing pedestrians to freely walk from the south bank to the north bank.
Baita Mountain Park is located on the north bank of the Yellow River and is named after the White Pagoda Temple at the foot of the mountain. The temple was built during the Yuan Dynasty and rebuilt during the Ming Dynasty. Climbing up the white pagoda, you can see the cityscape of Lanzhou. The white pagoda and the iron bridge on the Yellow River form a magnificent scene, becoming a landmark of Lanzhou City.
This cableway spans 150 kilometers across the Yellow River, with nearly 40 kilometers in the urban area. Lanzhou is known as the 'Capital of the Yellow River.' The turbulent Yellow River flows through the city, adding a unique landscape to it. The Lanzhou Yellow River Cableway spans the great river and is known as the 'world's first Yellow River cableway.'
Lanshan Park
Lanshan Park is located on Gaolan Mountain, directly south of Lanzhou city center. It stretches from Longxu Laolanggou in the east to Pipa Ridge on Longwei Mountain in the west. It is the first artificial forest park in Lanzhou, created through artificial greening. The spectacular mountaintop park offers a panoramic view of Lanzhou from a distance.
