The procession consists of 38 bronze horses, 1 bronze ox, 1 axe chariot, 4 light chariots, 3 sedan chairs, 2 small carts, 3 large carts, 1 ox cart, 17 warrior figurines holding spears and halberds, and 28 servant figurines.
The 'Image Ambassador' of China Post - The Courier Picture
The most famous stone statue unearthed in Jiayuguan, 'The Courier Picture,' is also a highlight not to be missed. The rider is on a red-maned horse, with various postures, exuding classical beauty. Upon closer inspection, the courier in the picture has distinct facial features but a faded complexion, which was intended to reveal the secrets of ancient postal services.
Yellow River Ancient Elephant Hall
Upon entering the hall, you can see a gigantic exhibit of the Yellow River ancient elephant. It is said to be 4 meters tall, 8 meters long, with tusks over 3 meters long. The Yellow River ancient elephant skeleton is the most complete elephant fossil preserved in the world and the largest elephant fossil discovered in Asia.
Dinosaur Exhibition Hall
The Mamenchisaurus, which lived about 140 million years ago, can also be seen here. The Mamenchisaurus could reach a length of 22 meters, a height of nearly 4 meters, and a neck length of 9 meters. It is estimated to have weighed between 40 and 50 tons when alive.
