142-year-old Old Road on Beichuan Road in Shanghai

Except for Huainan Road and Nanjing Road, the oldest street in Shanghai is Sichuan North Road. When it comes to Sichuan North Road, the locals in Hongkou District are not unfamiliar, as every meter here hides the youth and past of every person who has walked on it. Passing by, you can see the old Shanghai shoe store and the old department store that sells pastries. In the 1990s, there was a popular saying: "Take a walk and see other streets, buy something and go to Sichuan Road." In "Shanghai Miscellaneous Notes", there is a sentence that says: "North Sichuan Road has dance halls, medium and lower-level cinemas, Cantonese restaurants, Cantonese tea houses...scattered all over, the most prosperous in the north of Shanghai. Except for Nanjing Road and Fuzhou Road, vehicles never stop and pedestrians are crowded."
