In these off-the-beaten-path towns in Suzhou, experience the most authentic Suzhou

Suzhou, a historical and cultural ancient city, has several charming towns worth visiting. Today, I will introduce a few of them.

Zhengyi Old Street

The tall archway at the entrance of the old street is very conspicuous and easy to find. This is what old Suzhou looks like: an 80-year-old grandmother washing iron pots and clothes by the river, fishermen catching snails. On the old street, there are elderly people sitting leisurely, children returning home from school, and street performers wandering around...

Luxu Ancient Town

This is an ancient town very close to Jiangnan, where you can leisurely explore and experience.
Jinxi Ancient Town is dotted with numerous bridges, the most famous of which is the Ten-Eyed Long Bridge built in the Ming Dynasty. The streets and alleys here follow the water, with ancient bridges connecting them. For hundreds of years, people here have lived by the river, closely connected with the water.
Zhenze Ancient Town is located in the southwest of Wujiang District, Suzhou City, adjacent to Zhejiang Province. If you slow down and appreciate it carefully, you will find that it is quite distinctive.

Yalu Ancient Village

The village is located in the area of Luli and Yali on the western part of Xishan Island in Taihu Lake. It is named after Mr. Luli, one of the four wise men of Shangshan in the early Han Dynasty, who lived in seclusion here. The ancient village got its name from the Taihu Camp guerrilla office during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The scenery here varies with each season, and autumn has a unique charm.
