Crossing the Yangtze River Victory Memorial Hall
On the Zhongshan Wharf, there is a statue and a Nanjing Crossing the Yangtze River Victory Memorial Hall. It is spectacular to view during the day and illuminated at night. Facing the Yangtze River, next to the newly built Red Earth Bridge, this is the sluice gate where the Qinhuai River flows into the Yangtze River at Sancha River. Behind it is the Shimao Riverside Hilton Hotel. This small area forms a natural background composition. It is suitable for both leisurely walks and photography.
Youth Olympic Park
This place is very crowded during the day, but the scenery is even more beautiful at night. Especially on weekends or important holidays, the Nanjing Eye, Youth Olympic Twin Towers, Youth Olympic Village, and the Jiangxinzhou Forest Park section are all illuminated. Together with the lighting of the roads in the Youth Olympic Park itself, it forms an excellent riverside landscape.
Xuanwu Lake
Many tourists visiting Xuanwu Lake usually choose to go during the day, especially tour groups, as it is free. Personally, I think the night view of Xuanwu Lake, after several years of renovation, is even better than during the day. Entering from Xuanwu Gate, you can see Nanjing Station in the distance on the left, Jiuhuashan and Jiming Temple on the right, and further ahead, you can see Zifeng Tower. All these places are illuminated at night. Additionally, the colorful lights on the trees along the road in the middle of Xuanwu Lake create a stunning scene, offering a completely different experience from the daytime! If you are a couple visiting in spring, summer, or autumn, renting a small boat to row around the lake and enjoy the surroundings of Xuanwu Lake is incredibly romantic!
Originally built during the Republic of China period, this wharf later became an important means of transportation for residents crossing the river from Jiangnan to Jiangbei. It also serves as a scenic line. Since the closure of the Yangtze River Bridge, the wharf has been increasingly frequented by tourists and residents. A few years ago, when the government constructed the riverside line, they started from Zhongshan Port and extended a scenic belt themed around the Republic of China to the north. It must be said that not only is the night view here spectacular, but the place is also bustling with visitors during the day.
Olympic Sports Center
This is a new spot to enjoy the night view of Nanjing. The scenery is very nice in the evening.
Qinhuai River
The Qinhuai River is a new highlight of the night scene. Every bridge is adorned with lights, and every section of the riverside greenway has ancient poems projected on the ground. This is a mark of history, and it feels like the changing of times. Walking along the Qinhuai River gives you a sense of longing. The cold water and moonlight create a misty scene, and the night mooring near the Qinhuai River brings you closer to the taverns. For outsiders, the Qinhuai River may only be the section near the Confucius Temple, but the Qinhuai River in Nanjing stretches for over a hundred kilometers, divided into inner and outer sections. Nowadays, the outer section along the wall is illuminated by the lights on the riverbanks and bridges.
