Shilaoren Beach
Shilaoren Beach is located in the eastern part of Qingdao city and is the largest beach in Qingdao. To the south, it is adjacent to the Polar Ocean World, and to the east, you can see the giant rock 'Shilaoren' standing in the sea. This peculiar rock resembles an old man sitting in the sea and is a sea stack formed by millions of years of wind and wave erosion.
First Bathing Beach
First Bathing Beach was established in 1901 and is one of the older urban beaches in Qingdao. Located in the southern part of Qingdao city, it becomes a bustling spot from July to September each year. Visitors flock here to swim in the sea, relax on the sandy beach enjoying the sea breeze, or ride jet skis or speedboats to experience the thrill of the waves, making the most of the invigorating summer.
When visiting Badaguan, if you walk south along Ningwuguan Road, you will arrive at the Second Seaside Bathing Beach next to Huashi Building. The beach complements Badaguan, forming Qingdao's typical beautiful scenery of 'red tiles, green trees, blue sea, and blue sky.' Therefore, it is a popular spot for newlyweds to take wedding photos and is a prime location for outdoor photography.
Third Seaside Bathing Beach
The Third Seaside Bathing Beach, also known as Shanhaitian Bathing Beach, is located on the east side of Taiping Cape, by Zhan Shan Bay. Although it is not large in scale, the seawater is exceptionally clear. There are various styles of changing rooms built on the beach, and the water for showering in the changing rooms is hot, which is especially suitable for those who are not accustomed to cold water showers.
Located to the west of the Qianhai Zhanqiao, the Sixth Seaside Bathing Beach is adjacent to the train station and is also known as 'Zhanqiao Seaside Bathing Beach.' Many tourists from inland areas who have never seen the sea before get their first glimpse of it here. The coastline of the Sixth Bathing Beach is one of the most beautiful places in Qingdao, featuring famous attractions like Zhanqiao as well as modern high-rise buildings. The beach area is relatively small, and most of the sand is newly replaced, making it fine and soft, especially suitable for beach play. The Sixth Seaside Bathing Beach is not far from Xiaoqingdao. Every evening, the navigation lights on Qindao Island reflect on the waves of the beach, creating a mesmerizing night scene.
Silver Beach Seaside Bathing Place
Silver Beach is located on the southwest side of Phoenix Island Tourist Resort, with a total length of about 2 kilometers. It is crescent-shaped, extending east and west, with clear water and flat beach, making it a natural seaside bathing place. This beach is named Silver Beach because of its fine and even sand, which shines like silver under the sun, resembling a silver plate embedded in blue silk. Silver Beach faces the Yellow Sea to the south and is backed by a black pine forest. The sunlight, sea, beach, and pine forest complement each other, making it an excellent leisure and vacation destination.
Yangkou Beach
Yangkou Beach is located within the Yangkou Scenic Area. This beach is wide, flat, and has excellent sand quality, making it one of the better beaches in the suburbs of Qingdao. The location of Yangkou Beach is a crescent-shaped bay called Yangkou Bay, which is about 22 kilometers long. The distant islands are named Daguan Island, Xiaoguan Island, and Rabbit Island. However, Yangkou Beach is not currently an official bathing beach, and there are no safety lifeguards here. For safety reasons, swimming is not recommended.
