Fang Laoda Noodle House
Fang Laoda's tomato sauce noodles are simply tomato and egg stir-fried noodles, but they are super delicious.
Kuiyuan Pavilion
An old noodle restaurant in Hangzhou, with a history of nearly 150 years since the sixth year of the Tongzhi reign in the Qing Dynasty (1867). It has hosted countless celebrities, and the awards cover an entire wall. 'Three bowls, two bowls, every bowl brings satisfaction; ten thousand strands, a thousand strands, every strand brings peace of mind.' Known as the King of Noodles in Jiangnan, it has a reputation that extends far and wide. Many famous restaurants easily change over time, but Kuiyuan Pavilion truly deserves its praise. The Shrimp and Eel Noodles are considered the premium choice among Hangzhou noodles. Fresh river shrimp and eel strips are selected, which is a real test for the noodle restaurant. It is also a specialty noodle in Hangzhou. Noodles like beef noodles or lamb noodles may not be the specialty of old Hangzhou noodle restaurants.
Juying Noodle Shop
Juying's Pian'er Chuan has been featured on 'A Bite of China' and is very famous. There are many elderly ladies. Compared to many other noodle shops' Pian'er Chuan, the noodle soup here is relatively clear (because noodles in Hangzhou tend to be a bit oily).
Little Dog Noodle House
This noodle house offers reasonably priced dishes with distinctive features. The large intestine and kidney mixed noodles are worth trying. The most popular dish at Little Dog Noodle House is the mixed noodles, which are made in a traditional way: hot oil, stir-fried shredded meat, then add bean sprouts, dried tofu, and chive buds, followed by seasoning, and finally stir-fry the noodles in one pot until ready to serve.
Dehong Noodle House
Recommended dishes: Sanxian Doupi and Hot Dry Noodles.
Rong Xian Noodle House
You can try the bamboo shoot mushroom noodles or the black fish noodles, these are considered specialties.
Huijuan Noodle House
This noodle house has been open for 28 years. Personally, I think it's okay for a casual meal. It is also a bit greasy. The specialties are not very distinctive, but it is more reliable compared to ordinary noodle houses.
Hao Hao Noodle House
The prices are quite reasonable. In addition to the usual noodles, they also offer stinky tofu and chicken feet. The chicken feet are worth a try. The noodle house is well-located, offering a view of the canal, which is quite beautiful. It's rare to find a noodle house with such an environment where you can quietly enjoy a bowl of noodles. Therefore, compared to other traditional noodle houses, this one has its own natural advantages. As for the noodles themselves, they are generously portioned. The pork rib noodles and eel noodles are the house specialties.
