The snack shops in Lijiang, which cater to travelers all year round, have learned how to produce dishes that better capture customers' palates! They also better showcase the unique characteristics of Yunnan, with the taste being Yunnan cuisine but with local flavors.

Jingfang Sichuan Restaurant

Recommended dishes: [Lijiang Baba] [Local Chicken Rice Noodles] [Coagulated Tofu]. Located just a few meters from the checkpoint for the ancient city maintenance fee in Lijiang Old Town, this was the first meal upon arriving in Yunnan. The meal was simple but featured Lijiang specialties. Lijiang Baba is a unique Naxi cuisine, crispy and soft, with a filling of sesame and walnut, making it rich and satisfying with a sweet aftertaste. The more you eat, the better it tastes. Rice noodles are a must-try in Yunnan, and since I can't handle spicy food, I chose the local chicken rice noodles, which were very mild. This bowl was almost entirely filled with large vegetables, and it was quite good. Coagulated tofu is also a Yunnan specialty. This restaurant fries the tofu, coats it with sauce, and sprinkles it with chopped green onions. Take a piece while it's hot and put it in your mouth; it's soft and tender, perfect with a bowl of rice.

Ama Yi

Recommended dishes: [Naxi Farmhouse Cured Ribs] [Grilled Fish] [Water Lily] [Butter Tea]. At half past six in the evening, we ventured into the ancient city of Lijiang to find food and encountered Ama Yi in a small alley. We first had a pot of hot butter tea, which comes in both salty and sweet flavors, with locals preferring the salty one. The butter tea has a strong milky taste, but it can become a bit cloying if you drink too much. Later, we also had the salty version at a Mosuo family, and we can only say that whether salty or sweet, it's best to drink it in moderation. Water Lily, scientifically known as Ottelia acuminata, is produced in Yunnan and Sichuan (Lugu Lake) and is a type of aquatic plant that requires very high water quality. It tastes quite ordinary, like most vegetables, but is said to have beauty-enhancing effects.

Good Person Snack Bar

Recommended dishes: [Matsutake Stewed Chicken], [Boiled Lake Fish], [Dried Apples], [Bitter Buckwheat Tea]. The best meal at Lugu Lake, located near Goddess Bay. Good Person Snack Bar is well-known, and the reason for its name is because the owner, Mr. Zhao, is a good person with many stories. The shop has a table full of thank-you letters, and the owner says this is just a small portion of them. Besides the owner's character, the culinary skills are also commendable. The taste of the stewed chicken and lake fish is simply amazing. For 30 yuan per person, you can eat as much as you want. It can't get any better!

Mosuo Daughter Sichuan Restaurant

Recommended dishes: [Pork Belly Fried Rice] [Yak Meat Fried Rice] [Tree Bark Stir-fried Meat]. Each type of fried rice has its own unique flavor and is quickly finished; the tree bark stir-fried meat is very special; the eggplant and cabbage soup are common home-style dishes, with good taste and generous portions.
