Hello everyone, when renting a car in Barcelona and driving to Portugal, do I need a sworn translation document in Portugal or double certification from the Portuguese embassy? Will I have any trouble if I encounter a Portuguese police check? Thank you ?

When renting a car, just make it clear that you need to go out of the country to Portugal. I did it this way in 2016. No need for anything else.

I walked along the coast from Barcelona for a month in July and went to Portugal, and finally returned to Madrid. I got the Spanish dual certification. I didn't encounter the police in the middle. If you are worried, you can bring a Portuguese dual certification with you. I only got the Spanish dual certification this July.
