How long does it take to drive the entire route of Highway 1? Do I need to find a place to spend the night along the way? If I'm driving from Los Angeles to San Francisco, will turning around at scenic spots take a long detour ?

I've tested that you can go to the opposite parking lot at Haixiang Bay, with a dedicated turning line. McWay and Bixby Bridge are easier to park on the inside than the outside. Purple Beach needs to turn into a fork road, with a dedicated turning line. During the whole journey, I also parked at four scenic spots along the way, three of which were parked on this side, and one turned to the opposite side.
