What are the ages of the thief gang? How do they commit crimes ?

I had my backpack unzipped twice while shopping in the old town of Athens. Later I had to put it in front. It's best to put important things in a zippered pocket inside your clothes and button your clothes. Luggage and bags must be kept out of reach. Never put your bag by your feet when waiting for the bus and look at your phone.
There are 20 to 45 people, 5 to 6 people working together. They first crowd and then strike up a conversation to divert attention. Bags with zippers will definitely be opened. They seem to specifically target foreigners.
The majority are aged 20-40, of colored races, gypsies or African descent, and commit crimes in groups of two or more. In Athens, we encountered two gypsy women, one holding up a map pretending to ask for directions, while actually blocking the view of passersby, and the other quickly unzipping the backpacks of tourists... Fortunately, we noticed in time and stopped them...
