Hello everyone, this morning my car was parked in a free parking lot next to Waterloo University. When I came back, I was given a ticket for $35. Can anyone tell me why ?

"Take a photo of the parking ticket and send it over so I can see what's going on."

You should have exceeded the time limit for free parking, and you didn't notice the sign on the side of the road.

Free parking lots all have time periods. Whether you get fined after the time period depends on luck.

How to determine if it's free? I used to park on the side of the road near my university, and many of them were time-limited free parking, and they also required parking within the range of the sign.

Isn't it an overstay in parking?
