My credit card is a magnetic stripe card, not a chip card. I wonder if everyone rents a car in Bergen, Lofoten, and Tromso. Are the tolls and fuel self-service? Self-service requires a chip credit card ?

Yes, most stores require chip cards, especially self-service gas pumps.
Self-service petrol can be used with magnetic strip cards Please refer to the illustration All places that accept credit cards, whether self-service or manned, such as hotels, restaurants, ferries, supermarkets, petrol stations, car parks, can use magnetic strip cards. However, since the speed of swiping the card is not easy to control, it may be necessary to try several times. My chip card was stolen and blocked just a few days after I entered the country last year, so I used a magnetic strip card for the rest of my trip. Magnetic strip cards are supported in Norway and Sweden, but not in Finland's self-service devices.
Chip cards can also be easily fraudulently copied?! Aren't chip cards supposed to be secure, which is why most banks recommend upgrading magnetic stripe cards to chip cards?
Credit cards are accepted, and many gas stations also accept cash. Norwegian fuel prices change daily and vary from one gas station to another, so remember to choose wisely.
