I came across a post earlier that said any medication entering New Zealand needs to be declared. Is that true? For example, I brought some Rhizoma Coptidis (an herb used to prevent diarrhea), do I need to declare that ?

All medications should be checked as medications when filling out the customs declaration form. All items must be truthfully declared, and failure to do so may result in high fines if caught during inspection.

All drugs must be declared, better to kill 3000 by mistake than to let one go.
