The four of us were stuck at Istanbul Airport for ten hours, negotiating with Aeroflot staff the whole time. In the end, Aeroflot sent two of our luggages on their earliest flight of the day! We arrived at Istanbul at 9 o'clock and were supposed to catch a flight to Izmir at 12 o'clock. We missed the flight and our car rental in Izmir was also cancelled. We rented a car again at the counter at 7 o'clock the next day and drove from Istanbul to Selcuk. By that time, we had been awake for almost 30 hours and we managed to drive for 8 hours to Ephesus!
