Road closure will last until next year. Please follow my authoritative announcement. #Sang Ge authoritative release# Currently, the closure area of Highway 1 has not significantly increased. Everyone should still follow the previous detour plan. I would like to share with you the detour plan for Big Sur: Start from Monterey heading south, and after Carmel, in ten minutes you will reach Point Lobos, where you can consider sightseeing. Continue south for another twenty minutes and you will reach the iconic Bixby Creek Bridge, take photos and then head back to Salinas on US101, keep driving until Paso Robles. If you have time, head west to go to Ragged Point, Hearst Castle, and Elephant Seal Rookery. If you are short on time, detour to Morro Bay, and then head to San Luis Obispo. There are hotels in Pismo Beach where I have stayed before, you can see the three stacks while sleeping. Next is Santa Maria, where hotels are the cheapest in the area. Further south, there are also hotels in Lompoc, close to Vandenberg Air Force Base. Afterwards, everyone knows about Solvang, Santa Barbara, and other places.
