There's a strange problem. The car I rented from Thrifty was actually provided by Hertz. I picked it up in Nice and returned it at Geneva Airport, but I still don't know where the return point (said to be the French zone of Geneva Airport) is. Has anyone ever returned a Hertz car at Geneva Airport? Could you please point it out? Is there a difference between returning a car in the French zone and the Swiss zone at Geneva Airport? Thank you ?

I'm not sure about the specific location, but there must be a difference. The vehicles parked in the Swiss area are all local Swiss vehicles, while your car should be a French-licensed vehicle, so it needs to be parked in the French area. One is for domestic rentals, and the other is for cross-border rentals, which are different. In fact, it's not a problem if you don't buy it. It's just illegal from a legal perspective. I drove in Switzerland for more than two weeks, and no one checked me. However, this highway ticket should have a coil in the sticker that can be sensed by a loop, so I'm not sure if it will be photographed by cameras at some intersections or toll gates.
