Not as you imagined, there are a lot of gas stations on Highway 1 with convenience stores (where you can buy sandwiches to eat on the road) and snack bars. You can eat inside. There are also several supermarkets in slightly larger towns. There are convenience stores at popular attractions as well, but they are much more expensive.

Bring more instant noodles, most places to live can cook. Reykjavik has very cheap supermarkets, you can prepare more food. The supermarkets in the towns along the way are more expensive. Which website did you book the hotel on? I always book on booking, which clearly indicates whether there is a kitchen. In fact, the local food is not as bad as I thought, at least the few meals I have eaten are okay, but it is really very very expensive. But I saw many foreigners just ordering the cheapest ones, so it's okay.

We always buy instant noodles when we pass by the supermarket and occasionally eat at a restaurant that hasn't closed. I brought an electric water boiler with me and found it very practical.
