Can anyone tell me whether it's better to spend a day driving along the Seawall in Vancouver to Whistler or to Victoria Island? I'm having a dilemma, mainly because I'm not sure whether it's possible to return to Vancouver on the same day from Whistler ?

I just checked on Google Maps. It's about 134 kilometers and 2 hours from Vancouver to Whistler. I feel like it's doable to make a round trip in a day.
The answers are also quite complicated. Victoria is on Vancouver Island, home to Butchart Gardens, which is not comparable to an ordinary park and is worth a visit. Additionally, on the return trip to Victoria city, you can sightsee the city hall and more. Traveling to and from the island requires taking a ferry, so it will take a whole day, and you should leave early in the morning. Whistler is Vancouver's winter ski resort and has hosted the Winter Olympics. It is also a tourist destination year-round, with hot springs as well. The drive up the mountain via Sea to Sky Highway is beautiful, taking about 2 hours by car, so you can go back and forth in one day. Where to go ultimately depends on your own decision.
