Do any of you have experience driving in Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina? How are the road conditions there? Are they suitable for women to drive? How do they compare to Iceland? I'm planning to go there in April next year and can't decide whether to rent a car or hire a driver ?

The poorer the country, the worse the roads. The highways in Slovenia and Croatia are okay. The roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina are the worst, about the same as those in Iceland with two-digit numbered highways.
