Not sure how many times you have been to the west coast of the United States. This itinerary is driving on the road every day. Except for a few national parks, I don't plan to see them and just pass through. If it's your first time, I don't recommend it. It's like running around the west coast of the United States without doing anything.

Apart from places where you have to drive, flying can save a lot of time. Otherwise, Road trip for the whole journey will be a bit tight.
