I think European people are very positive about this, they usually add a service charge of about 10% on the bill, so you don't have to give extra tips. There are some restaurants that leave a blank space for you to fill in the service charge amount on the bill, just give it according to your satisfaction, about 10% is enough. If you are very happy or generous, feel free to give more.

If the bill includes a service charge, you don't need to pay it. If the service charge is not included, most waiters or waitresses will explicitly state this, and it's best to give a tip, which is usually 10%.
