Can anyone tell me how to operate the car to refuel and what the traffic signals mean in Europe? It's my first Road trip in Europe, so I would appreciate any guidance. Thank you ?

Most gas stations are self-service, where you pump your own gas and then go inside to pay (with a card). Some are completely unmanned and only accept credit cards.

First compare the English on the fuel cap with the type of fuel, then find the fuel injector that is the same, finish filling up and go to pay, remember what number fuel injector it is.

In Germany, most gas stations are semi-self-service, which means finding the fuel for your car, taking the fuel gun, filling the tank, remembering the pump number (marked on the pump), and then informing the cashier inside the station to pay with cash or credit card. In other countries, there are fully self-service stations, where you have to operate on a computer interface, following the instructions step by step until the fueling is completed. It will pre-authorize 100-150 euros, and finally deduct the actual amount based on the fueling volume.
