Can anyone tell me if hot air balloons are usually booked through Taobao or hotels? I've inquired and both Taobao and the official website have said that there are no available slots for the Butterfly and Royal balloons, but the hotels say there are still slots available. Is this credible ?

Hotels are more reliable than Taobao, and the official website is cheaper.
Generally there is a surcharge. That's why hot air balloons are so expensive. They are lifted like this.
Why not just send an email to the hot air balloon company to book directly? They usually reply to emails very quickly. The hotel probably gave you the contact of a small company. If Butterfly and Royal officials say they don't have any, then they probably don't have any.
The hotel was booked, and it didn't necessarily have to be Butterfly's. We flew the hot air balloon at Voyager's, which was great.
The company said they were fully booked, but the hotel said they still had vacancies. I'm afraid the hotel is trying to trick me.

I booked my hot air balloon ride through the hotel, Airkap. At the end of last month, I asked the hotel about both the Butterfly and Royal rides and they were both fully booked.
