We just went to Yellowknife to see the Aurora, no need to join a tour group, just go exploring by yourself during the day, as long as there is no light pollution by the lake, you can see the Aurora every night for 4 nights. At first, the sky was covered with thick clouds in the afternoon, and I thought there was no hope, but I insisted on waiting, and at 11 o'clock, the clouds dispersed and the Aurora was very strong, it was beautiful!
