How is the signal of international roaming on your mobile phone compared to buying a phone card ?

It's better to buy a local card for greater security. I was worried that international roaming wouldn't work with Google Maps, and I was also afraid that the signal would be poor when roaming, so I bought a local card. After all, the phone is too important. Once there is no signal, I will have difficulty moving. I was in Hawaii for 16 days, jumping four islands and driving by myself, and Google Maps provided seamless coverage throughout the trip.
