Not cheap, it's best not to take a taxi for long distances. No tips are required, but you need to book a ride, and the hotel can help you call. Uber is the best.

Taxis are expensive, and the meter jumps pretty fast. You really do need to know some English because most of the drivers are brown people, and they might try to take you on a detour. That's what happened to me last time. I questioned the driver, and he said he was new. In the end, they didn't charge me the metered price. They charged me what I usually pay. Then my landlord said that guy was doing it on purpose.
