In general, hot water is boiled in hotel coffee makers in North America, but it boils slowly and the amount each time is small. As for Banff, I haven't been there yet.

I will bring an electric kettle, a thermos, and even an electric rice cooker when I go to remote national parks in Canada and the United States. Last year, when I went to Yellowstone National Park, the shortest distance from any gate to the scenic spot was more than 40 kilometers, and most scenic spots, other than parking lots, did not have catering.
