We have four people in our family and our luggage is light. There is one 28-inch suitcase, one 26-inch suitcase, one 20-inch suitcase, and then we pile up mineral water, an ice bucket bought at Walmart, and can still put a lot of snack bags and clothes. I think four 28-inch suitcases should be fine. Our three suitcases in the back are too empty. The small boxes turn and the luggage bumps into each other.
