Aren't Canada's national parks free this year? Why do we still need to buy tickets ?

The admission to the national park is free, but the projects are not.
The Columbia Icefield has retreated severely, retreating 2kM. You need to take a large snow vehicle to go up. Road trip cars cannot enter. The package ticket for the icefield includes the aerial walkway. Not only is it expensive to buy, but it also wastes time. If you don't buy it, you can't see it, and you have no choice.
