Time is running out, so we can't redo it. But if we strictly follow the six-month requirement, it should be okay. So has the update been successful? If it has, then there won't be any impact.

You must go to renew your passport, otherwise you may be banned from entering. You can apply for an expedited update, which will be in time. Take both the old and new passports when you leave.
