Can you please help me? I am driving around the Lofoten Islands and will be in Stavanger from Oct 4-6. I do not plan to rent a car for those days. I plan to do a day trip to Preikestolen on Oct 5. When I look at the booking sites for the day trip, they do not offer ferry + bus package after Oct 1. However, I see from many travel blogs that many hikers still visit Preikestolen in Oct and Nov. Can you please tell me which ferry terminal do I need to go to on Oct 5 to get to Preikestolen from Stavanger? Where can I find out the ferry schedule? Is the bus from Preikestolen still running? Where can I find out the bus schedule? Thank you so much for your help ?

The ferry from Stavanger to Preikestolen is called Tau. The ferry schedules can be found on the website in the screenshot. Yes, the landlord and the house are very nice. I looked at the ferry schedule on this website, and it does seem to only go until October 1st. But I remember reading in a travelogue that there was a ferry after October 1st, but no buses, so you had to take a taxi, which was very expensive. The ferry terminal for Preikestolen from Stavanger is called Fiskpiren. You can type this into Google Maps, and when you get to the terminal, you'll see a sign for Tau. Just ask about the ferry schedules when you get there. There must be ferries, although I imagine there might be fewer after October 1st, because I saw locals who live there taking the ferry to and from work, so I don't think there could be no ferries at all.
