The box should fit. The back seat may be a bit cramped for two people. If you are tall, you may feel more tired after a long time.

I also reserved this car in Perth. SUVs have big rears, so these luggage should be fine. They say the side wind on the coast is strong, so a heavier car will be more stable. The ride comfort of Japanese cars should be okay.
