I rented a car at the beginning of this month, and the shopkeeper told me that it would not affect going out of the city, and they would teach me how to go out of the city.

Drive off directly

Florence is really frustrating. The navigation system is totally useless.

I called the rental car company before returning the car, and they said they would handle it and I could just drive it in.

You can just drive out with the car you rented in Florence! What I'm worried about now is how to return the car I rented in Rome when I get to Florence

Don't worry, the garage has a pass.

I bought a restricted area pass in a tobacconist in Milan, entered the car number, can be used for 24 hours

I rented a car from Alamo in mid-May to drive back and forth in the Tuscany region from Florence. When picking up the car, the rental company reminded me that I didn't need to worry about the restricted driving areas as they would handle it. The only thing to note is that if I return the car on a Saturday or Sunday, their closing time is 4:00 PM and 1:30 PM respectively. Returning the car after this time will incur an additional charge of 20 euros.
