Tigerair allows 15kg of checked baggage per person. We have 2 pieces of luggage for 3 people, one weighing 20kg and the other 10kg. Is this acceptable ?

Don't select check-in one person at a time on the self-service machine. Just select all and then the luggage will be tagged to one person's ticket. When checking in luggage, putting one piece in will deduct the corresponding weight from the total.
