Can I upload photos with a non-white background when applying for a New Zealand visa online? What are the specific requirements for the photos ?

2 inches white background
There shouldn't be any requirements, I arranged it through a travel agency and just took some random photos.
The official website has very detailed and clear requirements, providing various examples of OK and not OK, and explicitly stating that white backgrounds are not allowed.
Take photos of various visa photos in Alipay, select the New Zealand visa, and follow the prompts to shoot. You can upload the New Zealand electronic visa and take photos without spending money. This is how I got the visa.
Can't be a white background because it needs to be scanned. Blue or red backgrounds are both okay, as explained on the official website.
Go find a photo studio, with a special option for New Zealand visa photos, with specific requirements, and the system will automatically review them when submitted. I just went to the photo studio and got it done in less than 5 minutes, for 30 yuan, including electronic and 8 printed photos, although electronic ones are more common now, so the printed photos can be kept as a backup, standard configuration. Ha, for reference.
I used a photo with a white background, and applied through the official website, and was approved.
