I added an extra day in Auckland and wanted to rent the car for an extra day. The car rental company quoted me 120 NZD because the extra day was over 24 hours. But I wanted to say that I didn't exceed 24 hours the day before. Then a woman came and said she would give me a discount, but in the end, she said it would cost 600 RMB, which was even more expensive than before. I was so drunk that I didn't even want to rent it anymore. I wonder if you guys have encountered such things and how you handled them ?

The price difference between renting for ten days and one day is quite significant. This is true, as there are discounts for longer rental periods, and prices may increase during peak seasons, making last-minute bookings more expensive than early reservations.

You can order another one. Pick up another one when you return the car.
