Do you have friends who drive a Corolla to Tian Tang Town? Or is it only accessible by SUV ?

Any car is okay. Most roads in New Zealand are not that extreme.

I went, and the sedan could reach the Paradise Stables, but going further into the forest was not possible.

There is no paved road to Paradise Town, it's all gravel, even SUVs have difficulty passing. The key is that the insurance of the car rental company does not cover the section to Paradise Town. If an accident occurs, you have to bear it all by yourself. We have a Toyota Alphard and a RAV4, and we turned back after a short while, not daring to take risks.

Have seen small cars driving into heaven, in fact, it's not so terrible, it's best to drive a high car in the rainy season because there are 2-3 small streams to cross. And small pebbles can be avoided by shooting glass. If you have already rented a Corolla, just drive it and turn back if you encounter streams that can't be crossed. If you haven't rented yet, rent an SUV, which is particularly beautiful inside.

The Corolla is not good, the SUV is just barely acceptable.
