Dear experts, I have two questions to consult. I will go to Canada in July. 1. I will take Hong Kong Airlines from Shanghai to Vancouver, with a layover in Hong Kong (without leaving the airport). Do I still need to apply for a 'Hong Kong and Macau Pass'? 2. Is driving in downtown Vancouver very congested? Are there large parking lots for transferring to public transportation ?

No need for a certificate. I did it that way in August.
No transit permit is required, 7 days of stay is granted, it doesn't matter if you don't exit the customs.
No need for a Hong Kong and Macau Travel Permit, I can also transfer in Hong Kong
Transit in Hong Kong, no need for Hong Kong and Macao Passports, we have taken Cathay Pacific and Dragonair, from Beijing to New York, from Beijing to Europe (country can't remember), no need for Hong Kong and Macao Passports when transit in Hong Kong. If you are still not confident, you can call the Hong Kong airlines you take for consultation.
Don't need pass, with passport and air ticket can go to Hong Kong (now the new regulation is to bring ID card can take domestic flight) Vancouver city traffic is basically smooth during non rush hours, there are parking lots at major shopping malls or city light rail stations
If you have a connecting flight, you do not need to use a Hong Kong/Macao Permit, otherwise, your travel documents will not have a complete record of entry and exit.
If you enter Hong Kong with a Hong Kong Macao passport and come back from abroad, there may still be problems. I encountered it before and wasted a stamp.
No need, you will be given a seven-day transit visa directly.
I don't know about this aspect... But since you're going at this time, our family is going from Beijing, so we can help each other.
