Friends, do you need to ask the car rental company for a parking time plate when picking up the car ?

There is no such operation. In Austria, many places have short-term parking, some of which have machines on the side of the road, but there are still many places where I haven't seen machines. It is said that there are parking cards. I asked the car rental company and the hotel, but they all said they didn't know. I wonder if it was because my English wasn't good enough to express clearly. It is recommended to stay for a long time in places with garages, or check if there are P+R's. In fact, I parked in Salzburg for 10-15 euros from 10 am to 9 pm, which was acceptable. You can also ask the merchants on the street, and they will usually tell you.
