It all depends on the type of ticket you buy. Basic economy tickets do not include free checked baggage. Generally, you can bring one cabin suitcase, but for planes like the ATR, the suitcase can't fit in at all. Low-cost airlines like Spring are even stricter about baggage requirements, so when buying a ticket, you not only need to consider the price, but also the baggage requirements.
