May I ask everyone, is Milford Sound worth a special trip? The itinerary does not include Te Anau. If you want to go, you need to drive back and forth between Queenstown on the same day ?

If that's the case, I suggest taking a day trip to Queenstown and back on a tour bus. I don't recommend driving there yourself.

In my personal opinion, it's not necessary. The section of the road from Meifeng is interesting. Take advantage of the opportunity to see the snow-capped mountains. The valley is like a fjord.

It is completely unnecessary to go to Three Gorges or Norwegian fjords if you have been there before.

If you've been to the Three Gorges, there's no need to go, it's much worse than the Three Gorges! Those who haven't been can go! It's just a bit tiring! I started at 6 o'clock in the morning and got tickets for 11:30! It was almost 8 o'clock in the evening when I came back, and I drove on the night road for two hours, which was still quite tense!

If you don't live in Te Anau, the round trip from Queenstown to Milford Sound can be quite stressful. You can also try the Milford Sound cruise, especially when encountering heavy rain, as the countless waterfalls cascade down, creating a spectacular sight. The scenery of Milford Sound itself is far less beautiful than the fjords in Norway.

The driving time there and back is about 8 hours, which is too tiring.

If there's not enough time, there's no point.
