Why didn't the payment for the Golan Heights go through?
Roadside parking is usually free, while parking lots charge a high fee.
The day before yesterday we came down from the Golan Heights to Tsfat and stopped at a place on the side of the road with a blue and white line. There was a self-service machine for payment next to it, but we couldn't understand it at all. There was only Hebrew, and as a result, we got a payment slip on our windshield when we came back, all in Hebrew. We asked the landlord of the guesthouse and he said we could pay at the post office, but yesterday was the Sabbath and the post office was closed in the afternoon. Yesterday afternoon we were at the Dead Sea and parked in a mall parking lot. There was self-service payment and it was in English, 6 New Shekels for one hour. After payment, we put the printed receipt under the windshield without any problems.
