Does the scenery on the Icefield Parkway differ greatly whether you travel north to south or south to north ?

Not much difference, just because of the distance or the weather, if you go one way, you may not be able to see good scenery due to rain and other reasons, and it's safer to go both ways. Some of them are all entering and exiting Calgary, so they basically have to go back and forth, unless they go through Hinton and Edmonton.
