I traveled from Alberobello, made a stop in Matera, and then continued all the way up to Sicily. By the time I arrived, it was getting late and almost pitch black. So, I imagine the scenery would be quite nice if traveled during the day.

Ha ha, I'm going to take this route during my National Day holiday. Plan to drive from Alberobello all the way south to Taormina in Sicily. It should take about 6 hours. Have fun. I'll be there from September 26 to October 14, and after playing in Sicily, I'll fly directly from Catania to Malta.
